TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Registration
1. All new students are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $75.
2. Upon registration, the first term fee and deposit must be paid.
3. The application will not be processed or confirmed until payment is made.
4. Re-registration fee will be required from students when
– There is non-payment of term fee for a period of 1 term
– Attendance on per lesson basis is for a period of 1 term or more
– Students have withdrawn or after leave of absence for a period of a term
Deposit
1. All students are required to pay a refundable deposit of $100.
2. This deposit cannot be used to offset any other fees.
3. It will be forfeited in the event of non payment of fees; late notice of withdrawal; late payment of fees; damages to and / or loss of school equipment or property.
4. It is refundable only upon proper procedures of notice of withdrawal/ termination
Fees
1. Next term fees are billed on a quarterly term basis on the last month of the current term. It must be paid in full before the last day of the current term.
2. There is strictly NO pro-rating or refunds and make-up classes for missed lessons for any reasons whatsoever (illnesses, injuries, examinations, school holidays, vacations). This applies to unforeseeable closures mandated by any Government Authorities. Pro-rated fees will only be applicable for new enrolments joining the class for the first time.
3. Payment is to be made by Bank Transfer/ PayNow to The Dance Station.
Late Fee Charge
1. For payments made after the first lesson in any term, a late payment fee of $50 will be levied.
2. The company reserves the right to terminate the student from class if fees are not paid.
Insurance
1. Students are covered under personal accident scheme whilst in the studio.
2. Coverage is compulsory for all students.
3. A charge of $7.50 will be levied each year.
Uniform
1. All TDS students are required to come to class in the school’s authorized attire for each level. Please check with the administrator to find out more on the attire.
2. All students must come in neatly attired with their hair in a bun (especially for ballet students).
3. Teachers may refuse entry of students not complying with school’s policy.
Examinations
1. Only students registered and with all fees fully paid for a period of at least 1 year shall be considered for examinations (RAD, CSTD or any other exams applicable).
2. The entry of any student for exams would at the discretion of the Artistic Director and Manager.
Term Period
1. The term dates stretch over a 3-month period. As the schools are not open on public holidays, the class schedule will be adjusted as required.
2. The term dates for classes will follow the calendar year on a quarterly basis (unless otherwise stated):
Apr – Jun (1st Term), Jul – Sep (2nd Term), Oct – Dec (3rd Term), Jan – Mar (4th Term)
Withdrawals or Class Changes
1. The studio requires written notice of at least one month before your child’s last lesson of the term (according to their day of class). If such written notice is not given or notice is given late, the company shall be entitled to forfeit the deposit and claim for the balance of the fees due to The Dance Station.
2. Term Fees and miscellaneous fees are not refundable in the event of withdrawals regardless of time, nature and / or circumstance.
3. In the case of level change, should the fee for new class is higher; a top-up fee will apply accordingly.
4. The Dance Station reserves the right to change the teacher of a class when it is necessary
Intellectual Property
1. All exercises, class sequences, and dances taught in class remain as the property of The Dance Station. They cannot be taught or performed outside the studio without prior written approval of The Dance Station.
2. Prior approval by The Dance Station must be obtained before any form of recording (photography or video recording) may be taken.
3. All choreography done for students remain as the property The Dance Station. Such choreography includes but is not limited to solos, duets and group dances created, as well as stage design, costume design, lighting design and all concepts relating to the choreography. No choreography, whether in whole or in part, may be used for any purpose other than for the use originally intended without prior written approval of The Dance Station and the owner of such property rights. Where such approval is granted, the choreographer and/or the owner of such property rights (as the case may be) must be duly acknowledged.
Photo/Video Release and Agreement
1. It is understood that The Dance Station reserves the right to use any photography and/or videography of students’ performances for purposes of advertising and promoting the studio.
2. The Dance Station may take photos and videos of student and while participating in The Dance Station dance classes and activities for promotional purposes.
3. All ownership (including copyright) as well as all other rights, title and interest in and to the photography and videography shall belong exclusively to The Dance Station.
Others
1. Students are not allowed to attend Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Tap classes outside of The Dance Station. Students must obtain the Artistic Director’s approval prior to attending Dance Workshops taught by International instructors.
2. Students competing in dance competitions must do so under the name “The Dance Station” only. Students may not compete under any other school or institution while enrolled at The Dance Station.
3. The Dance Station reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject, suspend, or terminate a student’s enrolment for failure to comply with any of the Terms & Conditions.
Data Protection
1. You agree that you have read, understood and consent to The Dance Station collecting, using, disclosing and processing your personal data in the manner set forth in our privacy policy which can be found on our website at www.thedancestation.com.sg.
Important Note
1. The Management reserves the right to modify all terms and conditions without prior notice.
